This is fantastic, I love it.
It's a great read and very informative.
Working in Greece really does sound too good to be true. There has to be a catch! Euro passport!
My daughter and I are teaching in China at the moment and absolutely loving it, which came as a pleasant surprise to both of us. We did not expect to fall so in love with China, but we have and are having the time of our lives. My 4 year old granddaughter has adapted to this life like a duck to water.
We are kept so busy, with invitations to our students homes and trips away, that we do not have time to dwell on missing our own families.
As you may have guessed I am a mature teacher who is extremely energetic with lots of patience and humour.
I teach kindy through to Senior two and I actually prefer the kindy and primary classes because they are so much more rewarding.(These are the classes all the young ESL teachers do not want to do!) My senior classes are a hoot and we have a great time, but the younger children are like sponges, they soak up everything.
I do apologise, I have rambled on a bit, ( I think it's the old age,)
Waiting with anticipation for the next issue.

I lived in Greece for 20 years and taught English on the island of Crete. If you want to teach there, you need to find a position before you go and make sure that the owner of the language school (frontisterio) gets a work permit for you. Since we are not members of the EU, I don't know how easy it is to get one.
I'll be glad to share more if you're interested. I owned my own school for 3 years.
