I am ESL certified and teach in Texas. Do I need to get TEFL certified to teach in another country?
Where do I get it if I need it?

Dear Michelle,
I read your article about different certifications. Where were you certified and can you recommend some good online places to become so?
I am just beginning to research the prospect of teaching overseas and have heard mixed things about becoming certified. I have heard that it is big waste of time and money and I would be better off buying a certificate when I got Bangkok. I have also heard that is usefull. I would be willing to pay for the course if I am actually going to get something out of it as I have never taught nor lived overseas. However, I am trying to save money to be able to go and don't want to waste it on a useless "certification."
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Kara

I would like to thank you for your help. I appreciate it a lot. I am very interested in learning as much as you can offer me about ESL Lesson Plans.
Would you like to give information about Dyslexia and how can I help Ss with learning difficulties?

HI,
Good newsletter! I would like to know where I can find a university in New York State which offers a graduate on-line program for TESL, (or perhaps another school which would be recognized and accredited by the NYS Ed Dept) for teaching levels K-12 or adults? (not too varied??!!) I'm writing from the Long Island area.
Thanks,
Tisha
