Industry Event - ESL-Lesson-Plan Welcomes Brenda to ESL-School!
Hello Old Friends,
I've missed you! Allow me to say thanks to Jake for his fabulous introduction of me and for giving me the honor or presenting to you the newest member of the ESLemployment team, Brenda Townsend Hall, PhD. She will be taking over for Patricia over on the ESL-School blog, our "sister" blog for ESL management. We used to love to banter with Patricia Dean and now we'll have a chance to "debate" our concerns with Dr. Townsend Hall. For those of you who might be unfamiliar with her work, Dr. Townsend Hall is a communications consultant . . .
. . . trainer and course designer. Now, she’ll be blogging for ESL School and writing for the ESL Expert newsletter. She offers face-to-face and distance training in the fields of interpersonal communications, business English, written communications and cross-cultural awareness. She also has runs a distance-learning training course, Teach Business English, for teachers wishing to enter the field of business English.
Brenda, as she would have us call her, is currently a writer, editor and trainer with assignments ranging from the design of training modules for a call center in India, a “train the trainers” course also for India, cross-cultural awareness and writing and editing projects for international and national organizations and publishers. Brenda is also an internet tutor and has developed training materials in English for business for a Dutch company.
Brenda is not only an accomplished entrepreneur in the ESL field, she is also an accredited scholar. She earned her B.A. Hons in English from Queen Mary College, University of London and her Ph.D. in Middle English from the University of Southampton. On top of this impressive list of qualifications, she also holds the RSA Dip TEFLA.
We are proud to welcome her aboard the goodship ESLemployment! Like us, we hope that you too will fully enjoy the opportunity of learning and sharing our own experiences with such a well-accomplished persona in our field.
Good luck Brenda! We look forward to reading your contributions to the ESL School blog. We hope you are ready for some good discussions with the readers of ESL-Lesson-Plan!
With kind regards,
