What Makes An Irreplaceable Teacher?

We've all had good teachers. But would we agree about what...

...makes one? Or even what an excellent teacher does - or should do?

There are all kinds of learning styles and approaches to teaching, but I think we would all agree that a truly great teacher contributes to and participates in society, their schools and their communities.

Here's a poster that defines and explores what a great teacher looks like

I would say that a good teacher cares about his or her students - but also cares about much more.

Some people learn, and some people teach, but some of us find life-changing inspiration - and it goes both ways - in the classroom.

Schools are hungry for good dedicated teachers, and in my mind, a candidate who has a true calling and depth of experience would be an asset to any school!

My best to you as you make your way through this constantly shifting world of working with students.

We are all learning.
