Summer is, for most of us anyway, a time of different schedules, travels and visitors.
Many of us go places and see things this time of year and then when fall returns...
...we return to our more scheduled lives.
Here's an idea as we meet and work with different people. What do you think of the ten-foot rule? Are you willing to smile and greet everyone you come within ten feet of?
I got this idea from GOOD magazine (you can see the link here - http://www.good.is/posts/use-the-ten-foot-rule-smile-and-say-hello-to-anyone-who-comes-within-a-ten-foot-radius-of-you?utm_source=email&utm_medium=digest&utm_campaign=title&utm_content=do&utm_term=4).
It's an interesting premise, I like to talk to the random people I run into through-out my day. It reminds me that there are all kinds of people with all kinds of experiences, values and beliefs out there.
I also highly recommend GOOD magazine. Here's a snippet from their website; "GOOD is a global community of people who give a damn.
This is our new platform — a gathering place and a growing toolkit for pragmatic idealists to creatively and collaboratively engage with each other, our communities, and our world.
Connect with awesome people and organizations, and engage with them around topics and issues you care about."
Here is a great starting point - http://www.good.is/explore.
You never know who you'll meet as you work on the things that matter most to you. Maybe we will even meet some day.
