Famous Writers On Writing

Whether you like - or hate - a particular writer, any writer that makes his or her way into the popular imagination certainly has something to tell us about the art, skill, and yes....

...business of writing.

Our students may not have any interest - or potential - to become well-known writers, but writing clearly and coherently is the ultimate transferrable skill. Writing is, in almost every career field, our first, and many times only, communication with someone.

As you write, for any situation, consider your audience, use your words judiciously and, perhaps above all, spend time revising. Make sure you didn't skip - or repeat - and crucial words.

And if you aren't particularly inspired today, take a look at these ten writing tips by several prominent contemporary writers - ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLIGZEBmBUk.

Take a look at this video and improve your own writing or that of your students. The world can always use better writers.

My best to everyone.
